Higher National Diploma in Computing (Network Engineering)
Pearson BTEC HND Computing (Network Engineering) specialist pathway offers students a broad range of subject areas via mandatory units, while allowing students to acquire skills and experience across several optional and specialist units at both Level 4 and Level 5. While foundational basic abilities and key aspects of computing and networking were studied in Level 4, students will further develop deeper understanding of the specialized topics through units in Level 5. The course covers the topics that bring students strong education and practical work on state-of-the-art networking technologies, cloud computing, and security.
Upon successfully completion of the course, students will have developed a range of transferable skills, sound communication skills and skills necessary for future employment that guarantee efficient teamwork, autonomous initiative, organization competence and problem solving. Successful completion of the Higher National Diploma programme can lead to progression onto one of the Level 6 Honours Degrees.
The course will prepare a range of careers in computing, including network engineering, cloud computing and security.
