BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
BEng Mechanical Engineering , which is professionally accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), combines a strong base in theoretical background (mechanics, materials, fluid, thermal, systems and control) along with project based laboratory, design, build and simulation experiences, which is undertaken in our state-of-the-art live project space.
Core Modules
Structural Mechanics and Stress Analysis – Practical problem-solving exercises, simulations, and analytical tasks to deepen understanding of mechanical systems.
Machine Design and Reliability – Learn practical and strategic approaches to manufacturing, including process optimisation, precision engineering, and enterprise management.
Individual Innovation Project – Projects that address real-world engineering challenges, helping to bridge academic learning with industry practice.
ESEE – Economic, Social, Ethical and Environmental – Project management, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking and Preparation of technical reports and analytical document.
Aerodynamic Design and CFD – Gain expertise in CAD, computer-aided engineering, and digital modelling, alongside advanced manufacturing techniques.
